PIP POSTERS
How to get the best out of your PIP publicity!
The PIP poster design and production service
Many customers of ours are using poster advertising for the first time so this information is designed to “oil the wheels” of poster production saving their money and our time.
We need from the you…...
- A completed design matching our size requirements and ready to print…..or
- As much information as possible – photos, details, special offers, location plan – in fact anything you want to be used in the design of your poster should be sent to us in good quality hard copy or as a compatible (details below) computer file.
These, along with your sketch, will be used by professional designers to produce a high quality design.
Proof Reading
A low-resolution design copy will be sent for proof reading. Minor changes will be undertaken at no extra charge, as will corrections. The £50 design fee is heavily subsidised by us so they only get one shot at alterations.
Bear in mind any delay caused may result in space being charged before the poster is displayed.
Extra Designs
If you do not like the design or decide on a completely new approach we will happily undertake a new design again at the subsidised charge of £30 plus VAT.

The Sketch
Please give an idea of how you would like their poster to look.
1 The headline – what you do, what will grab attention (preferably not your company name at the top).
2 Good Information – what will attract your target market?
The content – reliability, authorised brands, special features or offers, location.
3 An illustration – a picture to tell a story or catch the eye.
4 A Logo – something that instantly identifies your business.
5 Space – is important and highlights important messages.
Try to keep your name and address bottom right. At most, your telephone number should be at the top, but ideally your message should dominate the poster, not your contact details.
“What makes your business different from your competitors?”
“Why does a customer come to you?”
“Do you prefer customers to come or to phone you?”
Think AIDA
A poster must create:
Attention
Interest
Desire
Action
Notes
Please make notes alongside the sketch giving details of any special requirements.
How to double the power of your advertising
The best ads command attention, communicate a message and persuade through illustrations, headlines and body text.
Repeat the message three times in illustration, headline and body text.
Be surprising but relevant.
Short headlines work better.
Headlines go at the top, not the name of the company. Telephone numbers should be big.
